The new edition uses Shunsuke Kikuichi's classic renditions, but the opening/closing themes are rather adaptations of the originals produceed by FUNi for the purpose, which I enjoy listening to (there's only been a few countries that sometiems use the original themes they try to adapt lyrics to as well if you ever find MP3s out there). >The only reason why HG's dub failed back then >was because it didn't have the more popular >Dragon Ball Z to encourage people to watch it. Also Dragon Ball Z was probably a year or so into it's broadcasting in Japan when HG got Dragon Ball and there probably would've have been enough episodes to use or not enough interest yet to trust the series. We could've had DBZ much earlier this way if it was possible to have the show run as early as '92 perhaps. >From the Master of Car-too-nal Knowledge... Christopher M.
