I was hoping that someone wouldn't bring up the game, but since someone did...

How much Japanese do you understand?

You should notice that Takayuki is also very passionate with Mitsuki. He uses
variations of the term "My Mitsuki" a couple of times during sex.

Because of the way the anime is presenting itself. Mainly because I noticed how
they trivialized Haruka in the anime version compared to the game. Of course,
she was quite trivialized in the game as well, but it's much worse in the
anime.

There are also other much more spoilerish insights that I received from playing
the game, but I'd rather not discuss it here.

As far as that route is concerned, if you understood the game it's clear that
Takayuki still very much obsessed with Mitsuki even though he chose Haruka.
That gave Mitsuki hope and she took her chance.
