Never mind, I'll repost this from memory...

 Mitsuki did what she thought was the best at that time. It was impulsive. True
it wasn't the best possible solution, but she was forced to a breaking point.
Shinji didn't want to care, God knows where Takayuki's parents were, she lost
grasp of her dream, got stuck in a menial job, and had to deal with bad rumours
surrounding her. Of course she would break down at the sight of zombie boy's 2
steps away from suicide condition.

And please... you're making it seem as if Takayuki and Haruka were married.
They dated for a while and she got into a seemingly unending coma. He had to
move on with life.

Finally, Akane's real motive is jealousy. In her eyes, Mitsuki had it much
better during those 3 years than her. She's angry because she had to be all
alone.Takayuki wouldn't visit her sister and thus her, and she couldn't do
anything for her sister like Mitsuki could do for Takayuki. She just waited...
all alone.

By the time she knows, the show will be almost over. I'm willing to be on this.

Takayuki understands very well the pain of losing Haruka. What he doesn't is
the pain of losing Mitsuki... yet, and when he does it's going to hit him...
hard.
