I know the original CCS and I believe MKR were both released way early in Tokyopop's history. The CCS was in the old horrendous smaller than current format that fell apart real easy and was aimed for the young female audiance<you can just picture lots of guys buying Chix Comics>. They'll unflip the artwork, tweak the translations, add the card/bookmark they used in the second set and print it in the larger more uniform size. That is actually quite a bit of stuff that many of us would use to justify repurchasing them(especially if the slipcase is cool) ;-) And since the second set sold better there's quite a few who were apparently unwilling to buy the originals, the second set was definitely better value for the same money.
