Hmm, I was kinda expecting a smiley (as in ";-)") at the end of that line... so that's how Tino won those "Tickets", right (replacing "post" with "call", of course)? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > And here's another gem I just remembered (BTW, this isn't word per word): Partner: "I've been using cubbies all my life, and in middle school I'll be using a locker, but I'm not sure if my books will fit. What's your advice?" Carver: "Uh, buy shoes." Partner: "Buy shoes?" Carver: "Uh... you can fit shoes in your locker..." All I can say is, at least it was marginally more interesting than that "Are my shoes enough?/Am *I* enough?" speech at the end, which seems to have little to do with the plot. Speaking of which, as you can plainly see, the writers have once again mined Carv's love of footwear... like Chumbukkit, haven't we had enough yet? Meanwhile, I made a post at the Toonzone forums about the theory that Rocket Power might have cut short The Weekenders' lifespan. A couple of similarities were pointed out, for example: * Both take place in California towns with amusement parks * Both shows' gangs have regular hangouts (even if the pizza place changes trends every darn week) * Both shows have mentioned rugby football * Both shows have single moms I also pointed out some diffs: * TW doesn't use the ep title on the opening caption (or anywhere), RP does * RP is all about sports, TW is all about weekend life in general * Since when did you ever see Otto Rocket at a museum? * And since when (besides Tishing) did you ever see TW use fake slang? Most importantly, I claimed that since RP was on cable, it couldn't have done much damage to TW's ratings. Here's the thread: http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=95692 . Tell me what you think of it, and while you're at it, why not check out this "clichebusters" thread (which also mentions TW quite a few times as well)?: http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=94296
