The only product I can think of related to the cards Mario and the Princess are holding are those little scratch cards Nintendo had. They were sort of like lottery cards, but if you uncovered enough squashed goomba cards before you got 3 koopa troopa cards or whatever, (they also did cards for other games like Mike Tyson's Punch Out and Legend of Zelda) you won absolutely nothing.
