Re: My thoughts on The Weekenders

It's the first post of December, the 200th post of the thread, and...
well, it's cut and paste time folks. Thoughts follow real shortly.

My memory's a bit fuzzy on that ep... she was trying on a hat when
they burst in, right? I don't seem to remember her "denying
everything" tho...
Then again, it's probably because what I remember mostly of the ep is
the whole pool thing (but I have decent memory of its pair "To
Tish"... now, no "Tishing" jokes, please).

Paul again:

"Time's up!" (throws teddy bear at the door)... and once again, she
only gets like 2 lines. And they're probably not even going to show
Penny's focus ep over here... :\ One is tempted to beg if she has more
lines in that one than she had *in the entire series up to that
point*. Maybe Cree Summer had been spreading herself a bit thin
before?
And as for what I think of her voice: if Eric Cartman were a girl,
she'd sound something like that. I kind of like it tho, even if it
doesn't really sound right for a teen like Penny... (I saw a clip of
All Grown Up! online, and Susie apparently sounds as if Penny had
suddenly been taking medicine for a sore throat...)

Paul again, on KND:
> ("Grow Up") was actually shown as two 15-minute parts on CNUK.

Here, it was shown as 3 7-minute segments. Odd...

Chika, on Billy and Mandy eating leftover pizza the same week Tino and
the gang did:

> That ep. is coupled with a pair of eps that I really like. The two musical
> numbers; the one about the brain-eating space alien and the Evil Con Carne
> one about pies... :)

When I saw it, it was part of a "Character of the Month" "block" on CN
Asia (Billy was Character of the Month for November).

Chika, from his gripes page:
"The Disney channels pretend to be commercial channels by sticking in
commercial breaks everywhere which have no actual commercial ads in
them. They only have ads for upcoming programmes!"

For the most part, CN Asia works the same way. Well, later days.
