It just so happens that most (if not all) CoE priests are registrars. So, too are many LDS Bishops. If an LDS Bishop isn't a registrar it's a safe bet that someone in the ward will be. I was married in an LDS chapel in 1985, the resistrar was the wife of a members of the Stake Presidency. This was most useful since, when we lost our certificate she was able to produce a duplicate, for free! In England it is a building that has to be registered as a place where marriages may be performed. I know of not a single LDS chaple that is not registered in this way. For this reason it is not possible to be married outside in England (that and the weather <G>). Andrew R.
