I was reading a thread posted earlier on how strong the stand for the aquarium has to be. I am looking at a bow front 72 gal aquarium by all-glass and was wondering if I could use a side buffet type cabinet with a bow front that I saw at Pier One Imports. The cabinet would look great with the rest of my furniture and match the bow front aquarium. My question is... how do I check to see if it will be able to hold the weight of the water, gravel and fish? The cabinet has a solid wood top, two doors on each side with a shelf in the center. It looks like something you could safely put a large screen TV on. I put my weight on it in the store and it seems really sturdy. But I dont want to be in a position where the tank starts to leak because the cabinet starts to give way after a while. Your feedback and insight into this is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
