I really keep it simple, to be honest. Btw, I did add a log to my site recently, to give people a "peek at the mundane" of my reefkeeping. It is available right from the main page, dead center on the webpage. I really don't like to do water changes, and as long as the water parameters are good I avoid them. What I do daily is feed the tank, every evening. Not too much, to avoid algae issues. I dose B-Ionic daily, well after lights are out. I clean the glass every two days, so nothing can build up and become a problem. Every three days, I clean the skimmer collection cup and the riser tube. I do tend to overskim my tanks, with quality skimmers. (Aqua C) I top off water as needed, depending on the season. Currently every 3 days on the 55g, every 5 days on the 29g. Always RO/DI. I do the water tests every two weeks it seems. I used to do them every week religiously, but real life gets busy. :) The only other thing I do is check the tanks often to make sure the corals are still in place and not touching one another. When things get out of control, I focus a lot of my attention on that problem until it is resolved. Like when I was battling Green Hair Algae, you have to be very proactive to beat that stuff. Sitting back and hoping it will cease won't cut it. Picking it off by hand is mandatory, and placing snails on the stuff every time they aren't consuming it is important. In a nutshell, be observant, use quality equipment and quality test kits, and avoid dosing stuff you can't test for.
