Oh well I am sad to announce that one of my two plecos that were alive
yesterday died during the night. As it seemed to be well enough
yesterday, then it is hard to say what happened, but as one of them
was clearly weaker than the other, then maybe it was on route to death
anyway.

So that one lived for slightly over 24 hours before it went belly up.

The other one is currently clinging to the glass about half way down
and not really moving at all. In other words not quite how a young
healthy pleco should be. Maybe it will pick up later, but as things
stand I would give this one 50/50 odds.

Well I knew that these damned pelcos were going to be a problem, where
maybe within the next day or two I will be out of them. Guess I should
have got me some loaches after all, when they at least would have done
well in my tank.

The other fish are of course doing perfectly fine, where the red eyed
tetras have marked their territory and constantly testing their
neighbours. Then the one golden tiger barb who was chasing the other
golden tiger barbs around the tank yesterday at high speed, not to
mention annoying the other fish, is now having his way with one now
submissive female.

So if any of these other fish die I would be very surprised, when it
is just these damned plecos that are dying on me. I guess the fish
shop simply starved them too long, where a few or the weaker ones were
already dying in their tank.

Anyway, if anyone knows how to maximise the survival potential of my
remaining pleco, then please let me know. When if it can survive the
next couple of days, then it should have a long, happy and now lonely
life.

Cardman.
