Most likely, it's getting quite territorial now.
Gouramis tend to do that, and especially Blues (and Golds which is just another
color morph of the blue Gourami [aka 3 spot Gourami] ).
Some shops will even take in healthy fish for store credit, or simply take it
off your hands.
What other Gouramis are in this tank too? Are they the same sex and variety?
