I'm only worried about the weight, not a spill. (Aquarium is acrylic and therefore has no seams but is molecularly welded.) It's a 60g aquarium on a wood stand that has a flat 6' sq bottom (vs legs), so there should only be about 100lbs weight per sq foot. The floor was just layed one week ago [it's layed on a concrete slab floor with underlay and whatever else they put under it]. This is a Pergo-type flooring which is fit tongue-in-groove. I wondered if the weight sitting on the edge or middle of a piece at the perimeter of the stand would cause the fit between the adjacent piece of laminate to raise over tim -- or otherwise corrupt the floor. I do plan on putting a thick runner carpet beneath the stand to protect the floor directly beneath it. Thanks! Kenny
