Thanks! sounds normal to me. The water directly around the heater may be at the desired temp however changes as water flows around it. One heater of that size in a 105 gallon tank will likely cause it to cycle on and off quite a bit. You might have been better off with say two 150 watt heaters, one at each end of the tank which would give more uniform heating. Rick > >
