Time for a short history lesson. Some of the responses to this post are pretty comical. I think it's simply that people do not know the history of FishGeeks dot com nor the heritage it represents in internet aquaria. Originally known as JAWS (Just Aquaria Web Site) it was (is) an extremely important step in the evolution of Aquaria websites, and among aquarists is considered probably one of the three or four most influential websites in the hobby, particularly in it's early years; along with The Krib and the now defunct CHOP (Cichlid HOme Page). To ask for financial support for this type of website through a raffle is not unusual or out of line; if the site makes the 200% margin mentioned then it is still quite a bit behind the priceless information and support it has generated through the years. If it was a new, upstart site then I'd be questioning it myself; but Mbuna and this site are well established and proven in integrity. My two cents having been added, I remain respectfully -- Mark Mark Stone tractorlegs at msn dot kom OSCAR Lovers! http://www.geocities.com/cichlidiot_2000/oscar.html The OSCAR Study Page The ".Edu" meens i are smart.
