Early religious books are increasingly sought after, and the average price (especially for the Bible) will probably rise at least in step with inflation. But so much depends the conditions at the exact time that you sell it. You might put it on the A.D. 2020 version of eBay and - as today - you might start a bidding war, or you might only get one bidder. The dollar might be low, which would attract overseas bidders (as now), or it might be riding high. You might bump into a rich millionaire who's itching to buy up every Breeches Bible ever published, or you might end up selling to a dealer for a fraction of his/her selling price. It just depends who wants to buy at the time that you want to sell. -- John http://rarebooksinjapan.com
