Why would anyone even look at HTML mail, Jon? If it ain't plain text
then it's straight to the trash without even being opened.

I think the one benefit, the spammers send HTML, which at least
makes life a bit easier. My newsreader doesn't open HTML and my mail
reader filters it all straight to the bin.
