Depends on how annoyed you are by the vibrator. I have one of these sets.
Just for fun I hooked it up to my 6V-10A battery charger to see if it would
go - and it did (until I let all the vacuum out of a 15 tube and stole its
19 for another set, and haven't bought replacements yet). I think that if I
were going to use this set often enough to justify running it on AC I'd
build solid-state A and B supplies for it. While it's still in the
restoration queue it's staying on battery power. The 6V gel cell out of my
daughter's Power Wheels car runs it long enough for testing.
