Max: I think I've worked with that very same singer once or twice myself.

Here's another one of the rules that I got a kick out of:

"Don't apologize all over the place for your performance. If you sucked,
everyone already knows it and doesn't need you to remind them. If you did
not, you are only fishing for compliments. Usually, you won't get one. "

That list is so right on it's scary. I think I've faced every situation on
the list repeatedly. It really hits home. A lot of this stuff also applies
to gigging in general especially with a pick up band.       <g>

I also liked Al Stevens' comments regarding tips. That piece is done with
more humor but is every bit as true to life as the jam session rules.
