In a medium that exists as words only, one will be judged by whatever's contained in the words one chooses to put forth. So I think it's reasonable to deduce that someone who's a habitual jerk on a newsgroup is probably a jerk in real life. In face-to-face interaction, they may modify their style of jerkiness (e.g., from belligerent to passive/aggressive) to avoid getting jacked up on a regular basis, but their overall JQ (jerk quotient) is probably about the same. -- Bob Russell http://www.bobrussellguitar.com CD available: http://www.cdbaby.com/bobrussell
