regarding posts from ChoralTalk/rec.music.makers.choral: > You can find them all on google. Go here: > > http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&group=rec.music.makers.choral > > and you'll be able to find them. You'll only find *some* of them there...the posts that originated in rec.music.makers.choral. What you won't find on Google are all the messages originating from the ChoralTalk mailing list, because we don't allow Google to archive those. When we did, spammers harvested our user's addresses from the Google archives, so our gateway has been configured with a "no-archive" setting. We will soon be archiving all ChoralTalk messages on the ChoralNet.org website, as we've long done with our Choralist messages. Other issues regarding the ChoralTalk/rec.music.makers.choral connection: - we replace the "From" information in the message headers as messages pass from ChoralTalk to the newsgroup to protect addresses - if you put your address in the *body* of your message (as a "signature" for example), be sure to alter it in some way to prevent it from being grabbed by spammers (who also use other news feeds, other than the Google Groups archive) - ChoralTalk is a moderated mailing list, so not all messages that come to us from the newsgroup are broadcast to our subscribers - the people involved with ChoralNet created the rec.music.makers.choral newsgroup, but we don't have any control over it, because we chose to create it as an unmoderated venue for the choral world For more information about the ChoralNet email lists, visit: http://choralnet.org/lists Peace, David Topping ChoralTalk moderator (one of several) dtopping @ don'tincludethispart.choralnet.org
