Karen- Hope things go well with the shoot. Sounds like it should be a fun experience for your daughter! I too, found The Red Violin an amusing and entertaining film. Possibly some of the Pope scenes may be a bit racy for some young audiences. You're right about the 'survivability' of the red violin throughout the movie... about the only thing they didn't do with it was use it for a canoe paddle. :) I liked the opening scene with Bussotti smashing the work of his apprentice. "Now, put your anger into your work!" was such a great line. I also often recall the scene where Poussin kept speeding up the metronome, pushing Kaspar to play faster and faster. Reminded me of my great uncle pushing me in my playing when I was a kid... faster! ...faster! :) -Turloch
