Hey - Just a quick heads up to ALL FANS of traditional C & W music, who are seeking an alternative to the tired BS that floods the commercial airwaves day to day. www.bloodshotrecords.com has a stable of KICK ASS artists who are redefining the genre as I type! From Rex Hobart and the Misery Boys to The Pine Valley Cosmonauts to Sally Timms and Jon Langford of Mekons fame, this indie label is offering the BEST alternative to FM Rodeo Cookie Cutter Country that has come down the pike in a long, long time. If you visit, tell Rob that Des in Glendale, AZ you. It won't get you any better of a deal and it sure won't net me anything either, but sometimes we just do something because the product is too good not to share. You'll so glad you visited and can rest easy in the knowledge that you are helping support a GREAT LABEL, while thumbing your nose at corporate giants who'd not know REAL KUN_TREE if it crawled up, rattled it's tail and bit them on the cherries. Aside from online samples, where else can you get a cd delivered to your door for under 15 US Dollars INCLUDING postage (USA Orders Only), with a flyer advertising new artists AND a bumper sticker for too? Many titles are going for 10 dollars too. I've not had a bad cd since I started ordering there several weeks ago. I started with an EP disc by Bobby bare Jr. ... Yes, THE SON of the Great Bobby bare hisself. I'd listened to a sample of the CD - "Valentine" and gambled that the rest of the record would have some merit, if only by virtue of genetics <heh>. Since, I've added all three Pine Valley Cosmonaut selections - The Executioner's Last Songs Vol. I, II & III and I seem to find something new to order every week. My wife ain't too crazy about my increasing CD collection, I already had about 2000 titles of all styles - but I got a Christmas card from Bloodshot this morning - JUST KIDDING. You can bet your ass that I am sending them one though, as a thank you for the great music they are releasing. I even picked up some unreleased and rare Ryan Adams tunes on the "Making Singles * Drinking Doubles Compilation that arrived today. Remember Dan Baird ... of Georgia satellites fame? Well he is with a band named the Yahoos and they too are available at www.bloodshotrecords.com. Keep the faith ... whatever the faith may be Des Don't wait
