AEA actor-musicians auditions, Nat'l Tour, New Musical



An Actor's Equity Association open call is being held for AEA members
by Paul Russell Casting for the AEA LORT B national tour of the new
country-folk musical "Keep On The Sunny Side" based on the songs and
story of The Carter Family Singers. Barter Theatre Productions,
Executive Producer.

Seeking actor-musicians for immediate and future replacements 

AEA LORT B PLUS Salary, transportation, housing and per diem provided.

AEA (EPA) OPEN CALL: Saturday, December 6th, 10am - 2pm (AEA Sign-Up
9am) 520 8th Ave., NYC, 16th Floor

PREPARE: Country or folk music (Carter Family, Woody Guthrie, or
alike). NO pop. NO self-written songs. Performers must be
self-accompanied on stringed instrument(s) as noted in character
breakdown. NO pianist provided.

Character Breakdown: 

[A.P. CARTER] 30's - 50's. Baritone. Charismatic, independent and
genuine. Must play guitar.

[SARAH CARTER] 25 - 40's. Mezzo Soprano / Alto. A spitfire, with
simple needs. Must play autoharp.

[MAYBELLE CARTER] 25 - 40. Alto / Mezzo Soprano. Salt-of-the-earth.
Must play pick guitar well.

[JANETTE CARTER] 20's - Early 30's Mezzo Soprano / Soprano.
Passionate, energetic. Must play guitar. Ability to play autoharp a
plus.

[MULTIPLE CHARACTER MALE ACTOR] Mid 20's - 50's. Baritone. Inventive
actor with character skills who can play one or more of the following
instruments: banjo, guitar, harmonica or other country / folk
instruments…
