I haven't been by there for a while, but I think it's Spirit Valley Baptist Church now. Of course that means it's named after the spirits of the dead Indian lovers who threw themselves into Spirit Lake off a high precipice (which there is one along the lake, but you couldn't hit the lake by jumping off it). Incidentally, a similar legend also appears in the Hiawatha poem, so I've doubts of its authenticity. BTW, the link to Hoodoo on the page you cited says that Hoodoo isn't voodoo, so perhaps you should acquire some other mantra.
