Here is a virtually untapped art resource; curious and entertaining.
The 'insanely detailed' pen and ink "paintings" are a delight to view in their
lyrical and whimsical nature, many pieces with hidden little visual treats.
Pen and ink artist Dennis Karl Joern recently featured in a PBS "Northwest
Profiles" spot, produced by KSPS television in Spokane WA USA.
The photographic images show a similar if not equivalent approach to capturing
content in often overlooked common scenes and artifacts. Captured with silver
based 35mm films in what could be described as "the old school tradition"...
Both artists offer a somewhat abstract, surreal display.
Excellent viewing, and remarkably, all in black and white...
Many pieces used as cover design elements; album, catalog, game, etc., plus
framed and displayed in private collections, gallery exhibits.
