The only one of these recordings I can recall hearing was that of the Serenade for Strings, which was coupled with the 2nd Symphony - the latter complete with organ pedal notes. The orchestra on those recordings was the LPO. However, some of Slatkin's Elgar recordings for RCA were with the Philharmonia - the Cello Concerto for instance (with, I think, Janos Starker).
