I thought we were talking about Clement! Well now...this is >Clementian confusion of major proportion! Next thing ya' know somebody'll >be talking about Clementine. Oh My Darling, Oh My Darling... etc. Now that the Clementi cat is out of the bag, I don't mind telling you that I have been toying with the idea myself. Of course we do not need more easy stuff, but these things are so delicious! At the last Frankfurt MusikMesse my friend Frencesco Gorio was showing me these Clementi editions by Ut Edizioni Orpheus. Opera Omnia in 60 volumes. http://www.utorpheus.com/organici/organico.php?organico=&autore=Clementi%2C+Muzio&search_request_button=cerca&categoria=Pianoforte&l=it When I looked at the size of this, I realized this is not a job for me. But after all the Bachs and Scarlattis, I think it is time to switch gears. Clementi is a good start and you can continue backwards in time with Telemann (Carlo Marchione already did....), Buxtehude, Froberger, Graupner at alia. Go get them!
