I ordered a Romanian built guitar from Hora - a SM-10 guitar and it was only $120. I did get 2 baritone Ukes at the same time which are fantastic at only $20 a piece - all solid wood. Shipping adds a bit to the price, but even at around 60-70 bucks or so more for the guitar portion of the shipping, I think the guitar is a bargain - solid top, sides, back. The SM-10 has Spruce top and Mahogany sides, back. Bridge appears to be wood, plastic saddle, nut. Medium action - very easy to play. Guitar was a bit more shallow than standard classical. Reminded me of a good several hundred dollar Yamaha or Takamine in sound. Not a very loud guitar in volume, but nice sustain and balanced sound. I particularly like the bass on this instrument. If you like classical guitars with Mahogany tone coloration, and want an inexpensive guitar that you would not be afraid to gig with or take outside your home, this guitar is really nice. I heard something rattling around inside guitar and found some lose sawdust and wood shavings inside the guitar! I believe this guitar was built right after I ordered it. Finally, it is a very attractive looking guitar with the finish and craftsmanship. Besides Dave K., has anyone else ordered an instrument from Hora? One other bargain instrument I have tried is the fairly new Yamaha Flamenco guitar with laminated sides, back (Cypress, I think) for $300 or so. -- Entfred
