Thanks again for your advice. .... For Kyriakides, you can still hear his music, as well as his own thoughts on it, in the brodcast archives at Kalvos and Damian's New Music Bazaar, along with a wealth of other interesting composers young and old, some well-known and some that should be (and even a number of people who show up on this newsgroup). If you go to the index of guests: http://www.kalvos.org/cmpindx.html You can find the date each was broadcast, and from there you can go to the list of shows: http://www.kalvos.org/shows.html and find that particular one to listen to. It's sad about "Mappings" disappearance, but at least we have this amazing resource still. (Though it's just as amazing that it's all essentially built on the simple creativity, tenacity, time and pocket change of two guys in the "wilds" of Vermont. That's a fragile treasure, and I can't think of another project out there that more deserves a few of my spare dollars each month. Like any resource, you can suck it down without any thought about tomorrow, or you can nurture it so that it just might be there again for you and anyone coming after.) -- Steve Layton http://www.ampcast.com/stevelayton For the sounds of music being made worldwide *today* pay a visit to "NetNewMusic": www.netnewmusic.net
