yeah, i'm partly talking about certain filter sweep sounds, and as you
say, there's nothing intrinsically wrong with them. i don't know that i'd
want to single out any particular note for abuse ("it's a tacky sound!"
"No it's not" "Is!" "Isn't!"). as time goes by, perhaps my current
prejudices will have been replaced by new ones and I'll be able to hear
the piece differently.

meanwhile, my copy of Wednesday Greeting just arrived in the mail, so I'm
ready to move on!
