Hi!
I'm a french fan of blues music. And volontary worker in a french
association, named "Blues Qui Roule" ("Rolling Blues", for those who don't
speak french at all!!). We exist since 1998 and have under our quality label
10 french groups playing different blues styles. We organize several
festivals in France (we had for example Connie Lush, Dana Gillespie and Mémo
Gonzalez, this summer), and our groups take part in lots of international
festivals and tours (Springing the blues festival, Joe Turner and his
Memphis Blues Caravan, Amelia Island Festival, Rallye du Luxembourg, etc.).
We also begin to have cultural actions towards schools.
In France, what we call an association is an organisation of which benefits
can't be distributed between his members. So, this isn't an ad, only a
suggestion, if you want to discover how Blues is alive in France. You can
visit our site: www.bluesquiroule.com
Our site isn't yet translated in English, but you can listen some tracks
extracts.
sorry for my very bad english!!
Friendly blues,
Aurélie Roquet.
