Yellow Dog is still around and making new stuff (vol. 34-38 of the Day
by Day series) in Japan apparently, though their European operations
were shut down earlier this year. Same with Vigotone, both of which
were about as good as it gets for bootleg quality.

Silent Sea seems to be a new front-runner, though now some people are
saying they've made mistakes and poor editing choices. Still,
sonically, they are very high quality.

I've not heard any Swingin' Pig releases for a while.

Yes, CDRs are the common means for trading. Many people I know want
them ripped with error correction and burned at no more than 4x DAO.
MP3s are like a swear word.
