Annoyed at the slapdash attempts to create a hypothetical Beatles Album Post breakup I put my mind to it. Some people just seemed to list the first ten solo songs they thought of without any consideration of how the songs would actually sound placed next to each other or the origin of the songs. Firstly I collected all solo material I could find which had some origin in the Beatles (considering my knowledge is limited and may have either left out or unjustly included some songs) . The main exception being I't Don't Come Easy (a George composition for Ringo or am I being unfair to Ringo) my thoughts being, it was the Ringo standout for that period and sounds Beatley. I have seen a couple of references to the Beatle origin of Uncle Albert /Admiral Halsey so it got a look in and Mind Games was written in Dec 1969 and it fit better then a couple of other John tunes so it became a last entrant. I have spent a lot of time with the running order to make it sound like a coherant album. There were many other songs also written during the Beatles which I have at times included then removed several times over for the sake of the sound of the album. I did not consider things like 'Oh John would have thought this or Paul would have thought that" my main consideration was trying to piece the songs together, so I let the songs do the talking. Yes inevitably my preferences show through. My format changed several times but Ringo only has the one choice, George has four (the album sounded better then with just two), Paul with six and John with five, unfortunately it wasnt equal between J & P but the flow of the album dictated that not me (I am a John Fan): PS To those who say "well the Beatles broke up so the whole exercise is pointless"... well I did it for fun sad as that sounds but it kept me amused for a while. I called it "Everest" a discarded Beatles Album Title; The Album Cover (Yes I even did the artwork as well) was the album cover photo that went unused from the Hey Jude compilation Album. Side A 1. It Dont Come Easy 2. Another Day 3. What Is Life 4. Every Night 5. Mind Games 6. Junk 7. Love 8. Isn't It A Pity ( version 2) Side B 1. Maybe I'm Amazed 2. Oh My Love 3. I'd Have You Anytime 4. Jealous Guy 5. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey 6. Oh Yoko 7. The Back Seat Of My Car 8. All Things Must Pass
