I think it's a top effort for King. It's his best work since the late 80's,
and I think now that he's laying off the crazy falsetto stuff a lot of
people that didn't previously like him might like him this time around. His
stuff is generally well written, and I think he picked it up a notch on this
one as well.

Me and Greg also went and checked out the King in Philly one week ago, and
the man has still got it. I've been a fan for a long time, but this was the
first time I've ever saw him live. He was pretty darn impressive. He can
hit the crazy falsettos when he wants to still, and his stage shows are
generally considered among the best around. I was quite happy with what I
saw - and I can't figure out why I never managed to make it to one of his
shows before.

The other bands that played were - some band fronted by a chick -- can't
remember the name. They were awful. The next up was Single Bullett Theory
who were another thrashy/death vocal type that didn't do anything for me,
and then Entomed - who are not my cup of tea either. Again -- another death
style vocaled band that doesn't get it done for me.

KD made the evening worsthwhile.

His stage show was interesting. He uses props like a casket and baby doll
for the Abigail section. A wheelchair for the Graaaaanndddmmmaaaaaaaa
(Wecome Home) bit. A steel gate was erected in front of the stage to kick
things off -- King would poke his head thru on occasion. It kind of helped
set the eerie mood. They took it down after the first segment, and I was
happy because I then could see the stage better. For The Puppet Master
stuff he had a real life gal who acted like a human puppet -- kinda cool in
parts. Good show --well worth my time.

They remind me of Symphony X in parts, but they are not nearly as musical.
The singer sounds like Russ quite a bit. I've heard the DT comparrisons as
well, but I don't really hear much of that. The tunes are catchy, and well
written, but the lyrics are a little strange at times - probably because of
their English limiatations. They are Itallian, but the singer has almost no
accent that I can tell. Some Itallian singers' accents really show up when
they sing, but this fella (Titta Tani) does a nice job.
