We may have been comparing the two studio versions though. Whitney's particular delivery of that song live was not as emotive as Dolly's version either, but her vocal skills were/are absolutely amazing. She sounded better live than in the studio. It was one of the best live vocal performancesI have ever heard. "Technical" doesn't usually warrant top points from me, as you normally have at least a handful of people elite enough in their craft to make an arguable point about your personal favorite. Since I really don't care for female R&B vocals, less Sade who I consider Jazz/R&B anyway, I don't really have a "favorite." Whitney simply "mowed me down" with her voice. Bryant
