After hearing the past couple efforts I'm afraid of what they could do to a great story. At this point in time I rather they stayed away from it -- but I'n big boy enough to realize that the original will still be great regardless. > At this point, I'm afraid a Mindcrime II would be more akin to a > Caddyshack II than a Godfather II. > >>>> I've got very little faith in the Ryche boys. We'd probably wind up with Caddyshack II or even worse, Halloween III. > Well look at this way, if they do make a Mindcrime II it will either > signal a re-birth of the band or their final death knell. > >>>> I think they are already dead, but I suppose something grand, and worthy of past accomplishments could drag me back in. There are people out there that would keep buying whatever Queensryche threw at them, so I'm doubting a failed attempt at Mindcrime II could sink them. A disc entitled Queensryche -- Sounds From The Stomach, would still manage to sell copies. > And one final thought for the band: > > Don't even think about attempting this without Chris DeGarmo heavily > involved in the project if not officially rejoining the band. > > Later > Phil > <<<< Agreed. Queensryche would have to be at full strength to even come close to pulling this off. Britt
