eddie val halla

i tried to post a reply to the eddie thread and google did not give me
the option for some bizar reason.

i think the eddie thing is so tired. 80s metal. i say, if eddie is
going to use two hands on the neck, then why not get into the relm of
stanley jordan or something?

i have not bought a van halen album for years, so i am not so sure
what eddie has been doing lately. all i know is, i really enjoyed van
halen 1 back in the day. when i was a kid, eruption blew my mind.

then all of a sudden, every "budding" metal guitar player was 2 hand
masturbating (um, i mean tapping).

i know a lot of people here are going to want to kill me for this, but
i hated it when i saw the "over my head" video and ty did a two hands
on the neck lick in his solo.i said, "get that hand off of there boy!
use your pick, then cut me a hickory switch and wait in the shed!"

seriously though folks. i would never compare eddie and ty. sure, ty
does the volume knob solo thing quite a bit. but, not in every song,
or even on every album like ed-boy and the two hand thing. and when i
see ty playing a song like cigarettes live, it blows my mind every
time. (although it wish they would play "the burning down"!)
