Frehley is my all-time favorite guitarist. Has been since 1974, and likely always will be. He has the most unbelievable vibrato, and just plain miles and miles of attitude & personality in his playing. As Nugent once said "Only Ace Frehley would have the balls to make the first half of a solo one note repeated 17 times, and only Ace Frehley could make it work". LOL. After Ace comes Brain May whose vibrato is matched only by his tone. One of the things that first drew me into Ty's playing was the bits of Ace I heard in his playing, but when I tried telling that to other folks that were digging Ty, they argued it and blew it off as me wanting to hear Ace in his playing because there was none in it. Needless to say, when I read an interview with Ty a few years ago where he cited Ace and May as two of his biggest influences and heroes I felt totally vindicated<g>. Even more when having said it, the interviewer (Guitar Magazine maybe?) seemed shocked, and said that he never would have guessed as he heard no Ace in Ty's playing at all, and Ty seemed surprised and proceeded to tell him so. LOL. Loren
