Heavy Harmonies Song of the Week: Dragonforce - Starfire

This week I'm going to showcase a band that normally would fall
outside of the genres listed at Heavy Harmonies. Dragonforce is an
English power metal band (somewhat unusual in its own right; when one
says "power metal", one usually thinks of Germany, Sweden, or
Finland... not England). They've just released their first "official"
CD Valley of the Damned on Noise Records. Why would they be noteworthy
to Heavy Harmonies visitors? They take a very melodic approach to
their metal (similar to Sonata Arctica in that regard), and they have
a downright "AOR-ish" ballad on the album. The choruses on their songs
are very memorable, and the arrangements are lush. If you're a fan of
metal, I recommend checking them out (my favorite online retailer
