Pretty respected, since she's one of the better songwriters around. In fact,
her material was known before her voice was. ("The Circle Game, " "Both
Sides Now.")

Mostly, she produced herself. On Court and Spark, there are credits for
three arrangements, Joni wrote one herself and collaborated on one other.
( "Car On The Hill," the one she wrote herself is pretty good by anyone's
standards.)
