>(Steve Hunter) >Gossip is one thing. But an organized campaign of public slander is >quite another. > >Steve in Breck Yes, Steve, I *am* very goodlooking. Let us not dismiss gossip so lightly. I fail to see the "organization" of this slander as being any more detrimental to Amy than any gossip, anywhere. No one of this group, in their right mind, even cares that these remarks are forever repeated. Problem is that people allow themselves to be affected by the "gossip/slander." I pray for the day that the defenders ignore the inflamers. The similarity to gossip is exactly parallel~! It is persons, w/o anything better on their minds, focused on another, presuming a knowledge, presuming their perfect values; discussing another, gaining the attention of one *equally* nothing on their mind. Gossip/slander requires a listener~! and in the listening, the listener is as harmed as the object of the gossip~! I know that my wives have, to some extent, discussed the harms of gossip; but since they are women, they cannot *possibly* offer an opinion complete of comprehension. You, a rupublican, don't comprehend *Anything*~! but nice try. : ) Lala
