gabriel mann overall grand prize winner in usa songwriting contest

hope this finds all of you with family and friends for the holiday,
eating, drinking, merrying...

i have some pretty exciting news!

a few months ago i entered my song "lighted up" into the usa
songwriting competition http://www.songwriting.net/ and found out
yesterday that i WON THE OVERALL GRAND PRIZE!

it's pretty fabulous.  they have 32000 entries from all over the
world.  thirty two thousand.  i also won first prize in the rock
category.  i get all kinds of prizes, but the best thing is they'll be
spinning "lighted up" on "acoustic cafe radio," a nationally
syndicated show, in 60 cities across america for 28 weeks!  i'll have
an interview on a top 40 station in new york city as well, and
probably showcase or two at the south by southwest music festival next
year.  anyway, there'll be a bunch of publicity generated from this
thing, and i'll appear in all kinds of industry mags and such.  it's
totally cool.
