Re: Wicked

I saw Wicked this past weekend. I kept an open mind (I actually
enjoyed Capeman), but I thought Wicked was a mess. The first act has
many dance numbers. I had not idea who was dancing or why. It was
totally unfocussed, the scenes changed abruptly yet each scene seemed
like the previous one. Act two was more focussed, but and excellent
cast couldn't compensate for a mediocre score and book.  But, I must
say, I was in the minority because the audience went Wild at the end!
