Follow up with any feedback to this thread BY THE END OF THIS > WEEK and it will be summarised and forwarded to ARA. Queensland: Weipa - Andoom is standard gauge. Mareeba - Einasleigh is incorrectly shown as a major route. The major freight traffic ends at Arriga (spur line off Mareeba - Dimbulah section) starting at Arriga Junction. Arriga Junction - Einasleigh is weekly railcar. Einasleigh to Forsayth is services suspended (but will re-open next year when the rebuilt bridge opens). Tolga - Kairi is removed, not mothballed. The newly Hail Creek branch in Central QLD doesn't appear to be shown. Rockhampton is NOT on the Yeppoon branch! The Mary Valley branch is incorrectly shown as terminating at Melawondi. The line is open from (old) Gympie to Imbil as a tourist railway. The Hendon - Allora branch is "services suspended" unless SDSR have it open again. The Inglewood - Texas branch isn't shown. AFAIK it is services suspended as it closed at the same time as the Bell and Cecil Plains lines which are shown. What is the loop shown in the Home Hill / Ayr area? There is a 3'6" cane tramway in the area, but why is that shown when the much more extensive 2'0" system is not? I would argue that the line south of Beenleigh should be shown as "urban route", not as "major route" as it is passenger only. Yarrowlea - Ebeneezer branch is services suspended (coal mine closed) Gibson Island branch (off Cleveland / Fisherman Islands branch at Murarrie) is missing and should be shown as freight only. Lindum - Fisherman Islands is freight only (dual 3'6" and standard gauge) Yeerongpilly - Corinda has had most passenger service withdrawn and is now primarily a freight route. I am unsure about the status of these sections: Meandarra - Glenmorgan, Stanthorpe - Wallangarra. Victoria: Warrnambool - Dennington not shown. (It was intact and the rails were shiny when I was there in October) South Australia: Mt Gambier - Millicent not shown - has this been ripped up? cheers, Colin
