How would you get across the NEC to Hightstown without requiring FRA
compliance?

I just saw an article in US1 (a local free paper) that the development plans
for several large properties along the Route 1 corridor are contingent on
the inclusion of a Bus Rapid Transit system which would apparently replace
the Dinky. I am all for expansion of the Dinky to Forrestal Village to the
North where it could be done with relative ease and only require
widening/negotiation of one overpass before entering the median on College
Road. Expansion to Hightstown or Quakerbridge Road would be nice but I
don't see either one happening other than via a BRT system as it would just
be impractical to lay rail along Route 1 or Route 571. BUT, I really don't
want to see a BRT replace the Dinky. Why not expand the Dinky North and
route the BRT from Quakerbridge to Hightstown via PJC for interchange with
the Dinky and the NEC?
