Forgent Patent Claim regarding JPEG compression, US-Patent 4,698,672

Hello all,

does anybody know about how this story went on. After the hype back in
Jul/Aug 2002 it has become very quiet around this issue.
Where they successfull at any other companies then Sony and the big unknown?
Does anybody if they are still acitvely persuing this issue? I do have
indication that they are still or again actively approaching comanies in the
digital graphic business.

Who has more recent information than 2002?
