I'm dreading giving him formula, if it comes to that... > If it's any consolation to you, I was like you when I pumped for my first--just *barely* eked out enough to satisfy him each day and hardly *ever* had anything in storage--and I managed to get through the entire first year without using any formula. One thing I found that helped was to pump first thing in the morning--I usually got about 5 oz. from that pumping session that I otherwise wouldn't get at all. If you haven't tried that yet, it's worth thinking about, especially if you start falling behind. Now, with my second, I was tandem-nursing and that, combined with the fact the second-time moms supposedly produce about 30% more milk than first-timers, meant that I had a freezer absolutely overflowing with the stuff. Third baby, I worked mostly at home and rarely ever pumped or gave a bottle--that was easiest! -- Be well, Barbara (Julian [6], Aurora [4], and Vernon's [a quarter to 2] mom) This week's special at the English Language Butcher Shop: "Be prepare to stop" -- CalTrans sign Daddy: You're up with the chickens this morning.
