Account Manager - Wine Sales- Permanent-Toronto Ideal Requirements: .3+ years inside sales experience (preferably at senior level) OR 1+ year outside sales experience industry. Overall job objective: Acting as the strategic lead in their assigned accounts, the Account Manager is responsible for developing the accounts within their assigned area. The Account Manager builds multi-level relationships and interfaces with accounts to grow the existing business and uncover new business opportunities. Effectively apply and leverage knowledge of products, pricing, competition, profitability objectives and sales skills. Develop and execute business plans, which help achieve the fiscal goals and objectives our client. Function: .Generate profitable business by effectively leveraging our client's products, programs, services along with industry knowledge and the competitive landscape. .Demonstrates leadership in all interactions and serves as a role model to remainder of organization .To effectively complete and submit required reports to management. Essential Duties: .Compose outbound sales calls and receive inbound sales calls. .Leverage our client's programs and provide appropriate solutions (Credit, Marketing, Services). .Utilize the knowledge of our client's to assist with supporting and growing profitable business. .Develop and leverage account relationships .Maintain intermediate product knowledge appropriate for account base. .Initiate discussions on current and long-term business opportunities with assigned accounts. .Uncover new business opportunities within account base. .Identify large bid opportunities and work with internal resources to secure profitable business. .Ensure appropriate credit line is accurate for business opportunities and all other pertinent terms and conditions are in place to assist in gaining incremental business and to minimize operating expenses. .Utilize and leverage understanding of competitive landscape to secure profitable business. .Writing proposals and contracts as requested by customer or management. .Work in tandem with management to determine account strategy. .Maintain consistent communication with management regarding key initiatives pertaining to accounts to further grow profitable business. .Effectively investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues escalated. .Build and maintain strong customer relationships with various levels within the accounts. .Devise, implement and coordinate customer training events, marketing strategies and programs tailored to account base. .Conduct in person meetings and interactions with multiple levels within accounts, where appropriate. .Introduce new accounts as required to improve account profitability. .Creates and communicates tactical and strategic initiatives aligned with the direction of our client's objectives. .Demonstrates a sense of personal ownership and commitment to work. .Apply understanding of management and company objectives and align personal priorities accordingly. .Share competitive information with the team. Standards & Measures: .Meet or exceed monthly sales revenue and profit targets. .Achieve sales activity standards as per requirements. .10+ face-to face calls per week. .Quarterly reviews with targeted accounts. .Support divisional directives. .Customer feedback .Successful resolution of customer complaints on a consistent basis. .Attain and maintain primary market share in all assigned accounts. .All accounts reviewed quarterly to ensure pricing is in line with quantities purchased. .Thorough understanding of customer's business. .Annual Executive Review or as required. .Leads by example and encourages department members to conduct their tasks in line with the company's vision, mission and values. .Active participant in all meetings. .Thorough understanding of customer buying patters and trends. Experience: Minimum Requirements .2+ years inside sales experience. .Consistent record of overachievement against quota. .Achieve and maintain sales activity standards at or above sales divisional requirements.
