Description

CANDIDATES WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF STAMFORD ONLY! Network responsibilities: 
Administration of all Windows based servers (NT, 2000). Configuration and installation 
of Windows based servers. Maintain backups for Windows based servers. Must have strong 
networking skills; understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, 
etc). Experience with Cisco routers and switches. Creation and removal of accounts on 
any Windows based server. Maintain security. Ensure patches, updates, and hot fixes 
are applied. Perform operator duties on a rotational basis. Installation and upgrade 
of server applications. Creation of server based print queues. Administrative 
responsibilities for Lotus Notes, Crystal Enterprise, Web Inspector, and Phone 
Infortel.

Desktop responsibilities: Creating standard Symantec Ghost images for W2K desktops. 
Ensure standardization of desktops and security updates are complete. Support Internal 
users.

Company is currently on NT & 2000, converting all to 2000 and then go to Active 
Directory. 

REQUIRED SKILLS: CANDIDATES WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF STAMFORD ONLY! Advanced understanding 
of Windows technology and security. Familiar with backup software and task scheduling. 
Must have strong networking skills; understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, 
DNS, DHCP, WINS, etc). Experience with Cisco routers and switches. Good 
troubleshooting skills. Excellent documentation, communication and organizational 
skills. Ability to communicate and negotiate. Application experience: Lotus Domino, 
Symantec Antivirus & Ghost, Veritas backup exec, Microsoft, SQLserver, IIS, Office.

DESIRED SKILLS: Meridian phone system. Checkpoint firewall. Citrix. Crystal reports & 
enterprise. Active Directory.
